# Connected course map and lesson production

Open index.html. Choose a course and expand a sprint to see the existing sequence, daily lesson outlines, assessment bundle, independent condition, O/C opportunities, carry-forward learning and rubric-production status. The map uses the existing connected plan; it does not change the course dates or claim that every workbook is already finished.

The key chain is: official target → sprint purpose → independent evidence/task → rubric criteria → lessons that teach and practise those criteria → sampled evidence → teacher judgment → next learning. Draft the assessment before building activities, then revise both together as the teaching prototype is tested.

There are 34 sprint plans and 332 scheduled slots: 86 MM12, 86 COM11, 144 IBDS core and 16 conditional IBDS May slots. The map's sprint cards show core lessons; conditional reserve slots remain separately labelled. The earlier calendar still requires local timetable and IB exam-date confirmation.

## What is ready and what still needs production

The course sequence, lesson outlines and evidence bundles exist. The new plan's bundles do not yet link approved task-specific rubric IDs. Existing app rubric definitions should be reviewed/reused, but an existing generic or older rubric is not automatically a rubric for a newly planned task. The three-course plan is not installed in the live app yet.

The four production examples in this map are design blueprints with observable criterion targets. They are not complete student workbooks or approved rubrics. They show how to build graphic design/image manipulation, Photography, Animation and IBDS content under the shared standard without pretending all disciplines have the same teaching or assessment.

## Preferred production order

1. Preserve and repair the existing Bootcamp/Explorer/Truck materials and finalize the independent graphic-design assessment/rubric in the allocated sequence.
2. Build original Photography so those images and decisions feed the campaign.
3. Build Animation/Motion using those assets; then Sound and integrated production.
4. Build IBDS one sprint at a time using its separate reasoning/source/assessment requirements. Visual design can help communicate mechanisms, but aesthetic polish is not a substitute for analysis.

## A repeatable lesson package

Start with the approved course/sprint and its prerequisite. Specify the new knowledge and independent performance. Inspect/reuse the relevant rubric; make criteria and descriptors task-specific. Map each criterion to a taught example, a practice with feedback and an independent evidence opportunity. Verify sources, actual software procedures and assets. Then create teacher explanations, student workbook, examples, practice/repair, independent task, teacher answers, rubric and O/C prompts. Validate the content and joins; update the same course/resource register.

This is backward planning followed by iterative production. Do not begin by asking an LLM for a visually polished workbook and attach outcomes afterwards.

## Future iPad connection

Leave a reserved connection to the shared rubric library. The future field app downloads an approved versioned rubric and captures O/C against its exact criterion IDs. The evidence returns to the same learner history in Netlify. Google retains roster authority and original Google submissions. The iPad app is not being built or changed in this task; a placeholder is not live sync. See FIELD_CAPTURE_CONNECTION.md.

## Sources and limits

Curriculum checks use the [Nova Scotia MM12 framework](https://curriculum.novascotia.ca/sites/default/files/documents/outcomes-indicators-files/Multimedia%2012%20Outcomes%20(2015).pdf), [COM11 framework](https://curriculum.novascotia.ca/sites/default/files/documents/outcomes-indicators-files/Communications%20Technology%2011%20Outcomes%20(2015).pdf) and [IB Digital Society guide](https://ibo.org/globalassets/new-structure/university-admission/pdfs/subject-guides/digital-society-guide.pdf). The connected plan and existing Truck/Learning Studio/Operation Get a 7 standards provide the local sequence. The common workbook structure is preserved; formal IB assessment retains its own instruments. Software/editor and camera-specific procedures require verification during package production.
