# Connected teaching system

The earlier local catalogue remains preserved; it does not override the current dated plan.

The existing [Google Sheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hGXzxde_q7UmKUFYKub3N_j_bFTMRrZqIUxTCIpciwc/edit) remains the roster and Forms source. The teacher selects relevant evidence and saves an outcome judgment in Netlify. A five-minute Apps Script job retries pending evidence, updates the roster and mirrors those judgments to **Evidence Map Progress**. “Refresh” in Netlify reads the latest cloud data; it does not remotely execute Google Apps Script. For an immediate Google update, run **Refresh connected progress** in the Sheet's menu.

Use the teacher access key stored privately in the project's `private/connected-teacher-access.txt`. It is also configured as a function-only secret in Netlify. It is not an AI key or a Google sync key. Never put it in a public workbook or AI prompt.

## Use the connected iPad app

Open [AssessTrack field capture](https://outcome-evidence-map.netlify.app/field/) on the same Netlify site. It shares the dashboard's teacher sign-in, Google roster and approved rubric registry. The AI Studio project remains a development workspace. The integrated source is `field-app/`; future changes must be merged there.

Review and approve a rubric version in the main dashboard. Then choose the course, student, assignment/rubric and criterion in the field app, select Observation / Conversation / Product, and save the evidence. Suggestions and support context remain separate from the teacher's final outcome judgment.

The existing five-minute Google job now mirrors field captures to **Field Evidence** and approved rubric versions to **Rubric Library**, alongside the existing confirmed-judgment mirror. Its updated scheduled run succeeded on 24 September at 20:46:13 Atlantic. No extra trigger or public Apps Script web app is needed.

Gemini adapters are deployed but the API key and model are not configured; audio stays on the device; physical iPad offline/audio checks remain outstanding.

## Course and teaching work

The [34-sprint course map](https://outcome-evidence-map.netlify.app/outputs/connected-course-map-2026-09-23/index.html) preserves the MM12 and COM11 semester sequences and IBDS September–May sequence. The new catalogue connects outcomes and downloadable rubric versions to that baseline. Two new Truck Ad rubrics separate achievement from support; seven earlier rubric definitions are retained as drafts with adapted band labels. Teacher approval of a rubric version is explicit.

The course map is not a completed teaching package. Existing Photoshop resources remain in the teaching library and recovered-materials archive. IBDS daily teacher notes, source/chapter teaching materials, slide decks, activities, labs, practice papers, IA preparation and mocks still require production and content QA against the map. These remain tracked in `IMPLEMENTATION_STATUS.md`; they must not be replaced by another disconnected plan.

These preserve the earlier prompts while updating them to the implemented connection. They do not claim that the live Gem or GitHub workbook source has been changed in this release.

## PowerSchool

The confirmed setup is **outcome/standards grades with teacher-written comments**. The dashboard exports a course-outcome review CSV containing the teacher judgment and comment. Support is excluded; conflicts are withheld. The newly supplied PowerTeacher Pro document describes importing scores into an existing assignment using its exported Score Template. That is a separate route, not proof of direct import for standards judgments or comments. An actual template and local score settings are still needed before building that adapter. There is no invented percentage conversion or automatic IB grade prediction.

## Verification

The installer completed successfully: 16 Form bindings repaired and 50 roster memberships connected (18 MM12, 32 COM11). IBDS has no roster entries yet. The progress mirror is empty until teacher judgments are saved. The scheduled mirror/retry job has run successfully. Gemini adapters are installed but not configured; protected cross-device audio storage remains unfinished.
